I doubt I would have spec'd those because the price is truly extreme but they came with my 17 lb carbon Carbent recumbent. Braking is incredibly smooth, from careful deceleration to forceful stops down from very high descent speeds. No comparison to the Bacchetta calipers on my previous recumbent which made me think that the caliper design as such is simply inferior and a necessary evil where other brake types cannot be used due to frame design. Apparently, this design is a match. And the weight (or lack thereof) is astounding. Four stars to punish the extravagant price. Beware when buying this product. Lighter is not necessarily better. The springs tend to wear out and when you need them replaced you will have to send them back to Ciamillo and then you will never see your brakes again.
