Accurate Shifting and Bar-end Convenience. Will work 3 x 10., July 14, 2011 By Denny Crane, Esq. (So. California, USA) - See all my reviews This review is from: SRAM Rival Time Trial Shifter Set 500 - 10 Speed (Sports) I use the SRAM TT500 bar end shifters on a Bacchetta Corsa recumbent. I have been using them for about 6 weeks. Shifts of the SRAM X.9 rear derailleur are smooth and accurate, though I needed to make a slight adjustment as the new cables stretched. You can also "fudge" them a little bit to force a shift, although the indexing is perfect once you set them up and break in the cables. The left shifter has enough play to work an Ultegra triple front derailleur shifting through a modified Ultegra triple crankset, 52/39/26. I built my Corsa as a 3x10 speed, so twist shifters were not an option, and trigger shifters are not convenient. The TT500 shifters can be rotated and fixed so that the paddles are convenient for your palm and fingers. They were a very good choice.

The friction on the front shifter allows for easy modulation while the rear shifts accurately and smoothly with minimal adjustments required.
