Got this puppy to replace a stock Shimano Alivio and expected an improvemetnt in performance. What I got was nothing short of a miracle! Once I got this baby tweaked in on the cable adjustment it was on! When upshifing on inclines, I felt like I had an automatic transmission! I couldn't even feel the upshift. Even under full load out of the saddle this derailleur is outstanding. I am amazed at the difference this component has made. My bike feels like a $2000 package! Bravo Shimano!

I got this derailleur and had it installed while still having the old shifters. I was disappointed until I finally got the XT quickfire shifters...and WOW! I was amazed at the difference. Very happy with the combination. Amazons prices were awesome, best I could find.

When it comes to mountain bike components you can't go wrong with Shimano especially when dealing with XT and XTR. They really take engineering great product to a whole new level... I love the way this Derailleur shifts underload and for this price you have to jump on it!!!
