Top of the line pedals, October 25, 2011 By This review is from: Crank Brothers Egg Beater 11 Pedal - Titanium (Misc.) I race a Trek Superfly. I purchased the Egg Beater 11 Titanium pedals for my bike cause they were the lightest pair out there. I've been a fan of Crank Brother's products for 8 yrs. First of all they are one of lightest pair on the market period. What sets the Titanium apart is just that. The material. It's tougher and lighter than aluminum. Crank Brothers has developed and easy way to clip in and out. I've demo'd other brands and these are by far the easiest to get out of in a pinch.
The brass cleats that come with these pedals have two settings. One for novice riders and one for advance riders looking for a tighter clip in. My only complaint is that the brass clips wear down over time and you have to replace them about once a year. The pedals are rock solid. Crank Brothers also has one of the best warranties in the business. If you break a pedal or it loses it's spring, they usually will replace them free of charge.
